Duffel Bags

I got this bag to replace my old roller duffle which had failed at the end handle opposite the wheels (takes alot of loading when pulling bag up stairs) and at the bottom corners where the stitching would split. This bag solved both those weakness with the hard-bottom structure with integrated end handle. Despite the hard bottom, this bag is extremely light even with aluminum rolling handle and wheels. Inside bag is quite large and has a cool feature that the space in some of the outside compartments, if not filled, can be filled by the inside contents because of the way the inside dividers are designed. My only complaint with the bag is that the fabric, though strong, isn't quite rigid enough. So that when half or 3/4 full and in the rolling position, the contents will all settle to the wheels end. Overall, I am very happy with the bag. I travel frequently to Europe and, though large, this bag can be managed on trains and narrow European hotel hallways and stairways."..."  Read more

I owned a similar bag many years ago so was delighted to get this version. I use this bag to carry my cycling gear. Cycling shoes and socks in the bottom compartment. 3 water bottles in the middle compartment. Shorts, shirt and a small towel in the top compartment. Energy bars, sunscreen, gloves, bike computer etc in the six pockets inside the 'door' of the bag. Maps, cell phone etc in the external pockets. This bag is great for carrying a variety of items while keeping them organized and separate. For example soiled clothes can go in one compartment where they won't touch everything else in the bag. Small items are easy to find in the bag as they can be in individual pockets rather than jumbled up with other stuff at the bottom of a bag. What is not so great? The quality of this bag seems to be poorer than the one I owned before. The material for the 'shelves' is not as thick or rigid. The bag itself does not appear to be as sturdy and the finish - the heat-sealed vinyl edges for example - could be better. However for the price this bag is good value. First, I absolutely love the pattern of this bag, mine looks a little more blue than the picture, and I absolutely love how it looks. The only downside to this bag is that it's kind of heavy, and with all the snow around here you can't really wheel it right now when you're outside. It has a shoulder strap as well as the handles that you see in the picture though, so it's not too bad. I think it would be a perfect bag to use while travelling, and it definitely works to just take with you when you're going home for the weekend as well. The handle for when you're wheeling the bag is just amazing. It has a button so the handle stays in place until you push it, and it also doesn't slide up until you push it which is nice if you're just using it to stand up your bag. It has straps on the inside to hold your things in place and it has lots of handy little pockets too. It is so nice to find a product that is so excellent. The leather quality is as good as it gets. Plenty of pockets, It looks fantastic - absolutely beautiful. I've taken it on two trips since I've gotten it. Both times, I've had to stuff it into aircraft overhead bins, and while it's been a pretty snug fit, it has managed to fit in.... and with no marks or scratches left on the leather (amazing, considering after one of the flights, I thought it for sure it would have some scratches from the rough dividers in the overhead bins). I've had the bag in some rain (not a massive downpour though), and it still looks just as good. So well designed... it has plastic on the bottom and side, so it's protected and easy to clean where it might make contact with the ground. Only slight (very slight) issue is that the bag is a little tippy when rolling it around corners (not a problem though... just something to keep in mind). And it holds a LOT of stuff. My wife has a Piel bag that's made of the same leather. She's had it for 2 years and it looks even better with age. This is a fantastic bag - I'm 100% happy with it."..."  Read more
