The wood on this chest is solid; I am very happy with this. You never know what the wood quality will be like on mail order furniture, no matter what the online description says. This is a solid well made piece, beautifully decorated carvings, perfect for the nursery I planned. The color is not bright white as in the photo; this is a good thing in my opinion. It's a cream white, not yellow cream but along those lines of creamy buttermilk. I recommend this furniture collection. I am considering getting the additional pieces in the future."..."  Read more

Overall it was fine. Assembly took a while as with most everyone else. Not difficult by any means, just a lot of screws to turn. The screw turn locks for the top are different from the locks for the drawers but the assembly instructions don't tell you that (they are listed separately in the list of parts, but not in the actual instructions). Drawers are VERY flimsy but get the job done. It was the perfect size to fit in a small nook in the wall I had next to my closet."..."  Read more

Excellent product for the price. Assembly was as expected (it takes a little while). I thought it went together very smoothly, considering there are six drawers. The description says it has a "distressed finish," but it doesn't. I was very happy that it looked exactly like the picture. It even came with two choices for the front apron at the bottom of the chest. It holds a lot, and saves space in a small room. I would definitely recommend this product."..."  Read more
