Dressers & Chests

It's very nice looking; doesn't look cheap, and I am happy with it. I have had my share of putting together inexpensive prefab pieces of furniture and this one went pretty well. All of the holes lined up correctly. My gripes: The interior drawer panels are pretty cheap, fake wood material. There are clips that you nail in along the back of the drawers to "hold" the bottom of the drawer to the rest of the drawer. Those did not go in easily and we ended up poking them through into the back of of the drawer, so now all of the clothes along the back of the drawer can be snagged. Also, this piece includes something that prevents you from opening more than one drawer at at time. I don't know the benefit of this in the first place, and if one drawer is even the tiniest bit open, you can't open any of them. Pointless feature. Overall, however, this is a great price for something I hope lasts for a few years."..."  Read more

We are very impressed with the craftsmanship and overall quality of the dresser. The dovetailed and glued drawers are very high qauality as is the wood itself and the finish. The hidden jewerly compartment is a nice touch. The only disappointment is the quality of the drawer slides. For the money spent and the weight of the drawers once full, the slides are not up to the quality of the rest of the product, but overall a nice piece of furniture."..."  Read more

This white dresser is solidly made and a beautiful piece of furniture. The piece weighs 156 pounds! The dresser came completely assembled (although the description said it was not assembled). The dresser is large and has lots of drawers. My teenager daughter will have not difficulty putting all her clothes in this. A find in the clearance section, the dresser had not one nick of damage. Im not the sharpest knife in the drawer, nor am I very handy, but I managed to completely assemble this dresser by myself in around 4 hours. I have never assembled such a large piece of furniture before. The directions were clear and easy to follow. I was concerned about the difficulty of assembling the drawers, but all of the pieces fit together easily. Although the top came with a small dent, and a few of the finished edges were a little worn, I am pleased with the overall quality and appearance of the product. One of the drawer pulls was defective so I called customer service. A polite rep helped me promptly and assured me I would be recieving the piece in the mail shortly.
