Dog Outdoor Gear

My dog is pretty scrawny, so he needs the extra warmth on walks in the winter. I like this jacket because its simple, and not all frilly and fancy, dosen't make him or me look kinda fuity. It's actually a dog jacket that is a masculine one, and it seems to work great! It is a little tight around the chest though, even in the next larger than recomended size, which hangs past his rear end a bit. If I had gotten one more larger, it probably would have fit the chest, but been way too long in the back and too loose in the middle. The one thing I don't like about it is that the "waist" of it just covers the end of a bad area, so if he pees while wearing it, he pees all over it! The quality of this coat is amazing and the reverse side plaid is a beautiful quality, colors are tremendous for Fall. The one thing I would like to see next time is a detachable hoodie which would make this Nor' easter truly that, maybe a small velcro strap like on the waist of this coat which would keep the hood up and not be likely to blow off my little baby Bedlington...Just love it and I've shown it to many dog lovers...Thanks from NY, keepin us stylin....."..."  Read more

My crabby Maltese has a thing about Velcro fasteners which most dog coats have on the underside, but does tolerate my putting this on him as long as I have a treat ready and in sight. I lay the coat open in my lap and then work on charming one leg in. Then the treat helps while I work on the other leg. This is the first coat I have found that fastens down the back which was the main reason I ordered it. Also the rip stop underbelly is very practical. The coat is long enough to cover the entire length of his back but also well-cut on the underside so he doesn't accidentally wet the edge of the garment.
