i first bought this bed in size small from a local pet store. the thickness is amazing~!! i bought more than 10 flat beds over the years and NONE is compared to the comfort of this bed (it is almost equivalent to four average flat beds piled up together.) i have two cats and they loved it so much i was compelled to buy a bigger version for them to share. i use this bed in their pet stroller when i take them out for "walks". the thick cushioning is great for slight bumps during those walks. also, cos this is their favorite bed, i place it in the feline outdoor tent whenever they are outside, they love resting on their favorite bed, watching birds and squirrels go by. i bought a 78" tall tree from this site, and this bed is great for cushioning the jump from the highest platform of the tree. this bed gets THICKER after wash. i placed it in the washer (delicate) after which is placed in the dryer (delicate) .. the bed is thicker and feels more condensed after. they LOVE it! i love it too cos i sometimes rest my head on their bed to sleep with them.. hehe this is selling for more than 20% more at a local pet store. I bought the medium and large size beds. I have a boxer, 2 labs & a taco bell. The large size is just perfect for the big dogs to stretch out in. It looks so cute to see them resting their heads on the bolsters. Is as advertised, canvas material nice & heavy. I like that it has a hidden zipper & a seperate piece for the cushion. Easy to assemble. The only con is the sleeping cushion could have been thicker. I corrected this by using old bed pillows which fit nicely inside the zippered enclosure. Did I mention it's 2 pieces & has a rubberized bottom. The bed launders great & you only have to wash the sleeping cushion if you want & not the entire bed. My dogs really like their new beds. I ordered the small bed for my then 7 lbs who is now a 11 lbs mixed Chihuahua. This is by far his favourite bed to sleep in. Since purchasing the bed we got a second puppy who is a small breed dog as well. He also loves this bed. Because it is a favourite bed for both dogs we are going to order a second bed as they like to have lots of space while sleeping and need more room than the small bed provides. Although it is a expensive compared to regular dog beds, it is worth the investment for dogs who love to curl up and be cozy. This is the second Kuranda bed I have purchased from Wayfair. I have Borzoi (Russian Wolfhounds) who are large, active hounds who give these beds a workout -- yes, they sometimes bounce on them! Whereas there have been no problems with the first bed, the second bed had different rubber "ends/feet" for the bottom of the legs than the previous bed (or one I had earlier purchased from a different source) had -- and these tend to come off more easily. A greater problem, however, is that the legs on one end come off very easily so the whole bed collapses. Since I assembled all three beds myself in exactly the same way, I can only guess that there is a slight defect in size on this one bed of either the legs or the piece they slide into. Whatever causes it, it results in the several times a day hassle of searching for the missing legs that the hounds have carried off after the collapse of the bed and then re-inserting them, pounding them in to ensure their tightness... and then wait to repeat the process. I hope to work out a solution, because the beds are great otherwise."..."  Read more
