The wood color is neutral, the style is transitional, and it seems to be holding up to some kids who love making it into their fort! We got it without the drawers that can go underneath, but still were able to store tubs so we didn't have to lose additional storage. It's perfect! My only complaint would be the boxes came pretty beat-up. We were nervous but the bed was fine! Was this helpful? Yes / No
