I love, love, love my new coffee table! It is very well constructed - and took less than 5 minutes to put together (take THAT Ikea!). The "wood" part is bamboo I believe, but with the quality finish and superb joinery it's hard to distinguish from mahogany or some other rainforest-decimating wood. The stainless steel legs are beautifully made. The only suggested improvement I could make is if the bottom of the legs came with some kind of floor-protecting pads - but honestly, that's no big deal - I just grabbed some at the grocery store and slapped 'em on! One other caveat: the table was a bit wider (across the short distance) than it appears to be in the picture - if you really need a narrow coffee table, say for a tiny apartment, this might not be the one for you - otherwise, GET IT !
