I couldn't be more please with this purchase. It was much more than I hoped for. Absolutely beautiful in appearance, the chairs are extremely strong & would not be a problem with someone who has excessive weight. The table is as sturdy as my dining room set which surprised me. The drop leaves are attached via a piano type hinge which is what makes the table so solid. It can easily fit 8 people with no crowding. The finish looks & feels & weighs like it is solid oak.
