You're never totally certain what you're going to get when you order on-line (with only a picture to go by), but this set is terrific. [...]was easy to assemble & looks great. It has held up very well over the past 4 months and the chairs are quite comfortable. The finish is a matte black so finger, grease or water marks show but they can easily be wiped off with a damp cloth/sponge. It also is a bit distressed (intentionally) at the edges & other intermittent spots (not mentioned in the description) which gives it a bit of a vintage look. We are very pleased with the set since it fits our kitchen space better than what we had. I love the table top finish but feel I need to treat it gingerly to keep it looking good.Wish it had a coating to protect the finish. We had a problem assembling the table top because the predrilled holes were misaligned but the manufacturer was very helpful and quick to send a replacement.
