Not the sturdiest wine rack
pb from Calgary, AB– Verified Buyer
While the other reviews commented on problems with the screws splitting the wood, the model I received didn't use screws, just finishing nails. (Even then, one of the boards split.) Despite two middle crosspieces (front and back), there is going to be an amount of "give" in the structure and, when loaded with 60 bottles of wine, the unit has left-to-right play of about six inches. That means, the thing potentially sways, though probably not enough to actually collapse. Probably. So, I use the wall brace just to keep the thing from moving side to side.

Difficult to assemble...
Andrew from San Francisco, CA– Verified Buyer
Was surprised to receive this and find that self assembly suggested drilling your own holes for the nails - so as not to split the wood. Helpful if you don't have a drill!

The nails provided are a size or two to big and that will cause the wood to split. Be very careful when driving in the nails, if you have some that are smaller in diameter but the same length try using them. Other than that it is a good value for a wine cellar.

A challenge to assemble
dakota winer from rapid city, sd– Verified Buyer
The assembly instructions are really deficient. I had significant problems with splitting using the screws. I overcame this by drilling larger holes than specified. Also bottom row doesn't have enough clearance, i.e. bottles touch the floor. These problems can be overcome, but for what I paid, I expected better.

I would not by this product again
Jim from Pennsylvania– Verified Buyer
Didn't mind so much putting this together, but every screw hole had to be drilled first. If you didn't, you would split the wood. It came with to brackets to hang on the wall. For this to have the right support for 60 bottles, I had to go out and buy 6 more brackets along with a ceiling to rack chain to keep the rack from sagging and eventually falling. This is to flimsy a rack to hold as many bottles as advertized

Buyer beware, it is not redwood
Tony from Memphis, TN
This 168 Bottle Wine Rack is not what it is advertised. First of all, it is not redwood. Secondly, the rack structure is very weak. Also, don't let the picture fools you. There are no trim on top and bottom of the rack. Last but not lease this item is not worth [$]. It is way overprice. I'm very disappointed.
