With home security in mind, the Scroll door handle accepts a key on one side of the lock and operates by a turn-button handle on the other side. With an ergonomic shape and a matte black finish, this door handle features versatility in style and design that coordinates well with traditional, rustic, and industrial farmhouse styles alike. Designed for left or right-hand doors, this door lever fits the two most common backsets in the U.S. (2-3/4 inches and 2-3/8 inches). The durable 2-way latch has a 1/2 inch latch bolt plated in nickel and does not budge once in place. Use this locking lever on standard 1-3/8 inches and 1-3/4 inches thick doors. This lock has a 1 inch by 2-1/4 inches radius corner faceplate and features a 5-pin cylinder for your security. If you are preparing your door for installation, the cross bore should be 2-1/8 inches in diameter and the edge bore should be 1 inch in diameter. Yes, these are universal and standard. A bit pricy but worth it if you don't want to chisel and break the doors to fit. The plate does come off for older doors so it's a win.
