Daybeds

This bed is gorgeous, classy, and unique! Just having it in the room transforms everything and the design ranks high in the "showplace" category. My full-sized bed is my primary bed. My only disappointment (thus the 4-star rating for what should really be a 5) is that the bed slats that come with it are VERY thin and flimsy. For the quality of this furniture and the cost, one would think that the manufacturers would not have skimped on such an important detail. I plan to buy sturdy plywood to hold up my mattress. In the meantime, a box spring (covered with a dark fitted sheet) sits down into the frame and onto the floor and my mattress is on top of it in a conventional setup; which defeats the purpose in having a platform bed, but it still LOOKS like it's a low-profile platform set up.
