Daybeds

This is a very fine daybed but I did have one problem... I didn't consider mattress thickness when I bought the mattress in town while waiting for the daybed frame to arrive. The mattress I bought is very thick and plush with a padded top. The mattress in the picture that describes the product must be, at the most, four or five inches thick. The one I bought is, I don't know, about twelve inches (or more) thick. So, when I set it in the frame... the arms and back of the bed frame mostly disappear. Kind of a problem when the whole purpose is for the bed to act as more of a couch during the day and only as a bed if I have a guest. At this point, I might as well just have a small iron bed frame under the bed as I don't really see much of the wooden frame. A simple solution is to just make sure you buy a suitable mattress in the first place. It is a very nice looking daybed otherwise, and quite solid and easy to assemble."..."  Read more

We confirm the comments that it is easy to put together, but any bed should be. Not much too them. What we are disappointed and confused by is what size Twin mattress should fit in this bed. We had a standard twin mattress delivered and there was a good 5-6" of empty space between the mattress and bed. We had to refuse the mattress, and now have a Twin XL on the way, hoping it will fit."..."  Read more

My brother purchased this bed for my 5 year old daughther as her Bday present. It is stable, color goes with any decorations, and the price was reasonable. The bed frame is nice and it took me about 45 minutes to put together. The only thing I didnt like is the mattress, since I felt it was a bit uncomfortable but a good cushion mattress (purchased aside) helped a lot."..."  Read more

I purchased this for use in my 6-year-old daughter's room. She loves it! It was very easy to assemble, and we haven't noticed any problems with it loosening and squeaking like we've experienced with a previous daybed. The only complaint would be that the link spring is very hard. The last daybed we had actually had springs that you just put a mattress directly on. This one is more of a platform. It is very sturdy, but it does require a box spring (or a little more padding) and a good quality mattress. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this bed."..."  Read more
