About New Zealand Radiata Pine Wood:
Radiata Pine, better known as 'New Zealand Pine' is a softwood tree that contains many properties that make it very suitable for furniture and furniture making. It has a density equal to that of hardwoods like poplar, mahogany and oak. Its uniform density ensures a smooth and consistent texture and confers its excellent machining, painting and staining properties; there is almost no variation in color between pieces. DaVinci's pine wood originates from forests maintained by managers that enforce environmental responsibility and the conservation of forest wildlife.

Beautiful Set, Tricky Set Up This is a beautiful set! Good quality at a great price. Everything was sturdy and well made. I would have given it 5 stars if it weren't for the poor assembly instructions. The pieces and hardware were not labeled very well, and the diagrams on the instruction manuals were confusing. It made for a very frustrating assembly experience. You'll also need at least 2 people to get everything put together if you want to avoid having the urge to throw the screwdriver across the room. The boxes are REALLY heavy when they arrive, so have extra help on hand for that, too. Overall I'm very happy with this set and I would buy it again. |
