About New Zealand Radiata Pine Wood:
Radiata Pine, better known as 'New Zealand Pine' is a softwood tree that contains many properties that make it very suitable for furniture and furniture making. It has a density equal to that of hardwoods like poplar, mahogany and oak. Its uniform density ensures a smooth and consistent texture and confers its excellent machining, painting and staining properties; there is almost no variation in color between pieces. DaVinci's pine wood originates from forests maintained by managers that enforce environmental responsibility and the conservation of forest wildlife.

I am grandma, I put this bed together by myself and the only complication was I had to buy a locking nut cause the last one I had was stripped. The bed is beautiful and very sturdy and fairly easy to put together but would have been easier with another person to help but can be done by one person. My grandson loves his new bed.

I bought this for our nursery! It looks reallt nice, seems to be good quality. The front rails are shorter than the standard size and the bumpers don't quite fit. My only other complaint was that you had to put it a 100% together, every little screw and the directions were hard to figure out. I love the look of the furniture and it looks real nice as a set. Oh and it is real sturdy. Overall happy with purchase.
