Both pieces had damage; the crib had a large ding on the headboard, but it was able to be turned so that piece is facing the wall, and the changing table had several small dings on the drawers. There were no scratches or missing pieces. Just be sure to count out all of the parts before you begin to assemble the crib and dresser because there are a lot of pieces. Also make sure you have a lot patience and time set aside for assembly. It isn't hard to follow the directions, but it does take some time to put everything together.
