IF YOU HAVE ONE OF THESE, PLEASE READ !!

If you own this grinder - please take the time to read through this! AS WITH THE PERSON BELOW, we unscrewed it and found that MOST of the PLASTIC HAD BEEN GROUND UP AND WE HAD BEEN DRINKING IT!!!!! NOT KIDDING. We loved this grinder. It (we thought) served us well for a year. It started acting strange when it would grind. It still would grind the beans, but would stop too soon. You need to unscrew the main thing and look at that plastic collar. (The person below saw that theirs had cracked.) Ours was completely CHEWED UP! AND IT WAS GROUND UP IN OUR COFFEE - WHICH WE HAD BEEN DRINKING FOR WHO KNOWS HOW LONG!!??! We found the tiny ground black plastic pieces in with the coffee. (That was unsettling.) You can see them when you hold the ground coffee under lighting. They "shine" compared to the coffee. Now we are shopping for a new one and it won't be Cuisinart. And it's too bad because we really liked this one and we like the brand. Don't buy one - and IF YOU ALREADY HAVE ONE, PLEASE UNSCREW AND CHECK THE "COLLAR".
Excellent Burr Grinder!

For the money, I don't think you can beat this burr grinder. It's at least half the price of any other burr grinder on the market, does an excellent job and is very easy to use. Hardcore coffee drinkers may find flaws compared to other grinders 2-3X the price, but it definitely beats a simple blade grinder. Once you set up the amount of coffee and the type of grind you want, all you have to do is press the button, wait for it to grind and dump the coffee into your filter. Blade grinders require you to measure the beans, hold the button and count, tap out the coffee and even release the packed grounds from the bottom of the grinder. This saves a nice bit of time and mess in the morning. The only complaint I would have about this grinder is that it is pretty loud, but I don't know how it compares to more expensive grinders. I'll deal with the noise to save the time and mess. Plus the grinder looks very nice.

This grinder produces consistently ground coffee in small batches, which is perfect for making a 10-cup pot. The settings are a little sensitive, so it took some experimentation to achieve the perfect grind, but now it's perfect every time.

I love this coffee grinder, my roommate originally bought it for our apartment. Now that we've split ways, I bought my own.

Great product. Sturdy. Coffee ground evenly. Quiet. Easy to assemble. Very stylish if you want to leave it out, but is easy to store. Big difference from the usual coffee grinder
