Great Machine! from Dallas, Texas on 06/14/2010 – Verified Buyer
Simple to use and with a neat modern design, this little machines churns out ice creams/sorbets/sherbets/frozen yogurts in "as little as 25 minutes".The machine is small enough to sit easily on the counter top and stay put there with the suction base without sliding off and big enough to make up to 2 quarts of of frozen dessert at a time. It looks sleek with brushed metal finish, is fully automatic and has a heavy duty motor. The parts are extremely easy to assemble together; they just comfortably fit in together without any turns or twists. Set the freezer bowl to the base, place the paddle/arm in the bowl and put the lid on an you are ready to go. The ingredients can be easily poured in through the opening in the lid and is totally mess free.I haven't tried any recipe from the included recipe book, but took a chance and made my own sherbet [@], mango ice cream and fresh strawberry ice cream; yes 3 ice creams in one week!. (The recipe book does have some enticing recipes and I will try most of them in the future.) The result was consistent every single time; I was not disappointed with the outcome all the three times. The ice cream was the perfect texture – light airy smooth and seriously good! I am sure I will make many more with the hotter months ahead of me.Few important things to remember if you want the best results: 1. The freezer bowl needs to be chilled. When not frozen you will hear the liquid inside when you move the bowl around. When it freezes and it is rightly chilled you will not hear the moving liquid. 2. The ingredients need to be chilled before you pour them in the machine. 3. The immediate result is a soft serve ice cream, so if you like firmer scoop plan ahead of time and freeze the soft serve ice cream in an airtight container for at least 4-5 extra hours or overnight. 4. If you are planning to make ice creams as frequently as I did this week, it is a good idea to use the freezer bowl, clean it and put it back in the freezer. It cleans up quick and easy like new, and there not much to clean up anyway other than the bowl, the paddle and the lid. This has to be my favorite gadget right now. Needless to say the entire family is as excited as I am. The kids are having the ice creams their way and they too see the possibilities of making infinite kinds from now on.Disclosure:This is a honest product review. Works well, although time consuming from Boise, ID on 10/26/2015 – Verified Buyer
Cons: loud, can be time consuming and you have to make sure to freeze the bowl for 6-22 hours ahead of time (if you want hard ice cream have to freeze for 2 hours after churning it in the ice cream maker)

Pros: comes with recipe booklet, makes great soft serve ice cream, if you don't choose a difficult recipe and don't mind soft ice cream it can be a somewhat fast process

The ice cream it makes will be the best you've ever had, if you're willing to spend the time to make your own then taste-wise it's definitely worth it!

Can't be any easier to have ice cream except driving to the store. from Van Horne, IA on 11/30/2015 – Verified Buyer
We love this ice cream maker. The mix in feature allows you to add topping ingredients at the end like sliced strawberries, chocolate, chopped candy bars, etc. I use the recipes that came in the book included with the appliance. I keep the insert in my freezer at all times so it is always ready. It takes at least a day to freeze to the appropriate temperature. It is a bit loud if you are going to be in the same room, but only lasts about 30 minutes. If you are serving ice cream for more than 4 people, they won't get much. Better for families rather than a party.

Very versatile and easy to use from Massachusetts on 12/01/2014 – Verified Buyer
I got this unit to coax an ailing but very finicky family member into eating more fruits and veg by "hiding" them in frozen yogurt and ice cream concoctions. In about 30 minutes, including prep time, I was able to create a huge variety of truly tasty treats that were a hit. Even though they all contained sizeable servings of kale! : ) Results were smooth, perfectly frozen and textured every time. a lifesaver.

Love it! from HI on 11/02/2015 – Verified Buyer
It arrived super quick which is awesome considering I live in Hawaii. To get me started I chose a couple of recipes in the book it came with - they worked out great. In the first weekend I made a lemon sorbet and a frozen cherry yoghurt. Once you realize how it works it is very easy to start experimenting.
While the book recommends full fat for better flavor, using alternatives like low fat yoghurt and soy milk work great

Pros: Easy to use and clean
Cons: Eat too much ice cream now!

Family fun! from USA on 08/18/2010
I was selected to review a product for Wayfairs. After much debate I used the code they provided towards the Cuisinart Pure Indulgence 2 Qt. Frozen Yogurt-Sorbet & Ice Cream Maker - ICE-30BC. We've always wanted one, and thought the kids would get a kick out of making their own ice cream. So far we've used it to make not only vanilla bean ice cream, but also raspberry lemonade slushies. My kids are crazy about the convenience store frozen treats. I'm not a fan of the yucky stuff in them (like the evil high fructose corn syrup). I picked up a bottle of all natural raspberry lemonade from the grocery store so we could try to make our own at home. You just pour it in, and let it freeze. Delish! The bowl must be frozen prior to use, and that takes about 24 hours. We have ours in a large ziploc bag, and keep it in our freezer. That way it is always ready when we are. It is softer than most ice cream, but that is an easy fix. Just put it in a freezer safe container, and pop it the freezer for an hour or two. We did this with our leftover vanilla bean, and two days later it was still yummy. We're thrilled with our new ice cream maker, as well as with the Wayfairs experience. [...] they have a huge selection of products. [...]We'll definitely shop there again.

Wonderful product. from HARTVILLE, MO on 08/11/2015 – Verified Buyer
The Ice Cream Maker is wonderful. It meets and surpasses my expectations. A few people said it was loud, but compared to my 1 gallon electric ice cream freezer that you have to use salt and ice,, it's not. I am very pleased.

Pros: Looks nice setting in kitchen. Can make ice cream everyday as long as you keep the bowl in freezer.
Cons: none that I can think of.

Ordered 3 of the ice cream makers on a Thursday and they were delivered on that Saturday. Great turnaround time! from Lima, OH on 12/24/2015 – Verified Buyer
The ice cream makers were Christmas gifts for my 3 children. They were all very happy with the purchase. One of the outer boxes was damaged in shipment but the inner box that held the ice cream maker was packed so well there was no damage to the product.

Pros: Lowest price that I could find.
Cons: I wish the ice cream maker made a larger quantity.
