Stays cool on the outside. Great defrost and reheat functions. Toasts almost evenly on both sides. They advise that we should unplug from the electrical outlet after usage which is a little annoying. I recommend buying

This is a basic 4 slice toaster. It is well made and I like it because the slots are wide enough for bagels or rolls. It is attractive enough to leave out on the counter and lightweight enough to put away easily should you choose not to keep it out. I'd recommend this toaster.

this is the best toaster I have ever owned , and I am almost 70 years old and have had a lot of toasters in my lifetime. every slice of bread every bagel every waffle or pop tart comes out perfect every time , it was well worth the Money I spend on it , I highly recomend this toaster as a purchase for yourself or as a Gift.

Overall, we are very pleased with this inexpensive toaster. In many ways it outperforms far more expensive models. It remains cool to the touch, and has two features that are particularly useful--the toast raising knob can be lifter a bit higher when needed to extract small items, and there is a reheat button useful when crying children take us away from warm toast. It's only flaw that we can see after 2 months of use is that it does not do an excellent job at evenly toasting both sides of the bread. In fairness, very few toasters do, and the difference is not huge, but still noticeable.
