Reasonable Quality - Details Lacking - Shipping/Packing Damage
Todd Brown from Mims, FL – Verified Buyer
These chairs are reasonable quality at the sale price. That said they are far from the quality of spectator chairs made by American manufacturers of ten years ago. The fit is average to poor with some visible gaps in the finger joints that show unstained wood. One arm side joint was unsecured (glue did not hold) at the time of delivery but held in place by the upper support. All four chairs that I bought had damage to the arm rails that appeared to be caused by a grabbing tool, probably at the factory that pinched the wood after the finish had been applied. I didn't find any corresponding damage to the packaging. The floor pads are fixed hard plastic and will scratch laminate floors. Just as well, as I replaced them with adjustable felt covered feet to compensate for the uneven leg bases after assembly. The back pad support is held in place by only four screws, two on each arm side. I can see that with a large person leaning back this could become an issue with regular use. However the chairs are comfortable to sit in even over longer periods of time. Because of the lighter weight construction, users can move them easily when getting into them. They are slightly undersized and slightly shorter (appx 1.5") than traditional spectator chairs but this is a positive if you have a smaller space that you are using them in. The reduced height does keep the arms from hitting a 42" pub table top. If you are looking for a lighter duty spectator chair for occasional use these will work fine. For larger people or regular use I would look for a better quality chair in the $300 - $400 range.
Poor Quality Control

I ordered two chairs, and one had a serious crack in the arm. They sent replacement chair, it had a crack in the leg. Im now waiting for my 2nd set of replacement parts. The chair looks nice, its just clear that the Quality Control is not that great for this chair. The damage doesnt appear to be a result of shipping, it looks like it was shipped broken. Not sure if it will get better with time, but when you sit on the cushion it expels a lot of air and gives a big woosh. Everyone is a little shocked the first time they sit on it because they have the immediate feeling that they need to go on a diet.
