Wonderful product for the price

I was able to purchase this island on one of their daily price cuts. Very nice for the price I paid . Shipping very fast, arrived in two days. Takes 3 hours or more to put together. It had a few small areas where the paint was chipped off, but nothing I couldn't touch up. It was packed well and arrived in much better shape than I expected. Does have an odor that is getting better every day, I noticed a few others mentioned that in their reviews. Matches very close to my white cabinets in my kitchen, looks like it was always there. Used my own knobs to help it blend in with my style. I noticed one person mentioned the drawers, that she did like how the push through. They are fine, I understand what she is saying, they have to be that way in order to have them open on both sides. I find myself constantly trying to get them to look even on both sides. Also, you will probably want to seal the top. My husband and I added those round felt self stick felt siders to each corner so it sides nicely on our wood floors. We put them on before we put the whole thing together. I would recommend purchasing it, it has areas where it seems it might look cheap (mainly the inside doors were not spray painted very well & the towel bars look cheap) but overall it looks great once it is put together. I am fussy and I was pretty happy with it.
Not entirely all it's cracked up to be...

After reading the reviews of almost all the islands here that might fit what I was looking for, and having ordered from Wayfair in the past with good results, I settled on this island. It arrive in two days time, the packaging was not marred or banged up. When we opened the box, the hardware went everywhere. Most of it was not secured in the packaging and looked as if someone had opened it previously. Hard to imagine with such pristine boxes. It took about 2-1/2 hours to put together and though it looks very nice, I had no idea from the description that the unit does not have a solid back. The doors are on both the front and back side of the island so I'm going to have to find a way to secure one side in such a way that you can't notice it, but I won't be pushing things out the other side when I put items in it. Also, the drawers push through and the only thing stopping them is a dowel which floats in a hole in the separator between the drawers. The drawers don't really have a track, they just slide around on the base that separates the bottom from the drawer area so I imagine on the black which I ordered, the paint will begin to wear off soon from use. I couldn't use one of the towel racks either because, though it has a metal sleeve, it split the minute we tried to screw it together. Had I been aware of these things from the reviews, I might not have ordered this one. But I did and it's together and too much to ship back. That said, it looks good, the butcher block top is very pretty but not usable as it's coated with either a laminate sealer or urethane so I'll keep my Boos Block on top of it to use. (Best block ever!) So far, those I've shown pictures to have really liked it. We'll see. But beware. If you're looking for a true, enclosed island, this isn't it.
WONDERFUL FOR THE PRICE !

Love my new kitchen island. Ordered this one in white. Was slightly darker white than my kitchen but no one would notice it unless inspecting it, it was pretty close to the same color. I was able to get this on one of their daily sales for almost half the price listed, what a deal. It arrived in two packages and took my husband and I 3 hours to put together. He is good at stuff like this so if I had to do it would have taken much longer. Like one other review we had to drill some of the holes deeper. Did have one scrape on it where the paint had chipped off on the bottom but I can touch that up. We were surprised there wasn't more scrapes and even missing pieces, everything was there. We added our own knobs to match the rest of our kitchen. I can see if someone is fussy they make think it is cheaply made. I am fussy but was happy with it. Like they say, you get what you pay for. I think this is pretty nice for the cost and to get free shipping and 3 back on your next purchase, you can't beat that. I will purchase more items from this company.
Love the butcher block top; Other parts are so so,

This piece of furniture took a long time to assemble and after all was said and done, I would say that the look was a little underwhelming. From far away, the furniture seems pretty nice but upon closer inspection, you can tell that the bottom parts are made of cheap wood. I got mine in black, which generally makes scratches harder to see. However, there were a lot of obvious scratches on the wood that made me think twice about my decision. In addition, the top 2 drawers and bottom doors ended up being crooked. I was unable to align the drawers properly even after several attempts (this could perhaps be my own error though) and the doors are unable to be re-aligned due to the design. What I did like about this kitchen island is that it certainly does save a lot of space. You can fit many things inside and I even use it to hide several of my larger kitchen appliances. The kitchen block top is also very nice and solid. It does not look or feel cheap, which is a contrast compared to the bottom wood quality. The block top is what ultimately made me decide that this furniture was worth it for me. An added bonus is that the table is wide enough to fit 4 people for a meal so I use it as a dining table when needed. If the manufacturer ever reads this, my suggestion would be to add some heavy duty casters. I ended up adding some casters on my own for easy mobility.

Write your reviews here. Share your opinion on the pros, cons, uses, and quality of this product! Arrived well packaged in two boxes. Directions clear, fasteners easy to identify in large blister pack. Some pieces are heavy. I needed assistance setting them in place. Took 3 hours to assemble. Wooden and particleboard components had strong odor which has persisted a month now. Paint finish not perfect. No drawer glides. Drawers slide on plastic pads. They pass through the body of the cabinet, open on both sides, with a stop peg to prevent them from coming all the way out in either direction. I use it to store mixers, food processor, blender underneath, and accessories for them in the drawers. Serves the purpose.
Stunning piece that makes my kitchen!

After having this piece in my kitchen for a few months, I can say with confidence that it is a great purchase. I have received numerous compliments on it. The butcher block top is lovely and is a great surface for preparing dough or other foods. The magnetic cabinet doors are a nice touch to ensure that they stay shut. My only complaint is the way the drawers open only half way (to make them accessible from either side) and that they are not on rails, but rather just there. Pros: Easy assembly. Cons: The drawers would be better if they were on rails.

This item is exactly what I was looking for. I read the reviews and liked what I read. The quality and directions were spot on. The end result is a solid piece of furniture. The butcher block is nice and thick, and the details on the island are nice. This went into a country kitchen from 1919, and it feels like part of the home. This was my first Wayfair purchase, but definitely not my last.

I was a bit reluctant to buy this island. We repainted our kitchen cabinets white and I wanted a contrasting black island. I was worried this would look cheap. It totally completes my kitchen-looks high end-like it was always there! It did smell alittle but that went away quickly. The butcher block was alittle too light so I sanded that down and made it darker by staining it. Love, love, love it!!!!!

Make sure you receive 2 boxes and have all parts. My first order was incomplete, but Wayfair was wonderful and resent another island. I love it! Hubby not good at assembly, but handyman did a great job of putting it together. 4 stars because drawers pull through from either side and don't line up well when closed.

We received the product in a well packaged box. Followed the instructions in putting it together which was easy. Have the black with the butcher block top, ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS! Perfect for our kitchen. Heavy, good material. I took a picture of our now finished kitchen and my friends & family all emailed back with raves. Most places wanted up to $1300.00 for this item, and in buying it on Wayfair.com we saved Big Time!
