I hope you have help

This cabinet is beautiful, really stunning for the price. If you're looking at it, you know that these usually are around $1,500, so it really is a steal for the price. The catch? You have to put to together. All of it. It comes in two flat shipped boxes with the most pieces I have ever seen, more than my queen sized bed. It took about 3 hours to put together, and I'm glad I had help, so make sure you have a friend over! The finish is beautiful, a little lighter than in the pictures, but very well done, it feels sturdy and secure. My biggest complaint is the sizing for some of the shelves. The top two shelves on each door are just a little too short to hold some of my whiskey bottles, if they were another 1/4 inch taller they would be perfect. The glass holders are also peculiarly sized, most of my stem glasses DO NOT fit into these holders, the holders are too small. Nothing we can do about it now, but only our champagne flutes fit. Overall, I would buy again as it was a great price, but it does have some quirks.
Beautiful! But assembly is NOT for the "tool inept"

I was so excited for the boxes to arrive! From other reviews, I expected them to be heavy. Glad I was able to intercept the UPS man and have him wheel the boxes inside for me. Fought through all the packaging, which took 30 minutes in itself. I'm an experienced flat pack furniture assembler, but this was daunting. You need at least a 10 foot by15 foot clear area to put this thing together. And you dare not destroy the packaging, because god forbid you should need to return it! The boxes, foam sheets, and intra-wrap would easily fill a pick up truck bed. I am not kidding. Couldn't get through Step 1 "Attach legs to bottom section, using wooden pegs and bolts." One of the four legs didn't have a hole drilled for the bolt. Fortunately, I've got access to power tools and was able to fix that. There were a few other minor hiccups, easily fixed. Again, with access to a handyman skills and tools. We used wood glue on all the pegs for added strength (after dry fitting first!). Read through each step and puzzle out the orientation of pieces before starting to avoid having to back up. Once together, the cabinet is beautiful, and is a stunning addition to our new home. I am now in the process of choosing bar stools to accompany it.

I had been looking for something like this for quite some time! I as thrilled to find this hide-a-bar! All of the furniture in my home is a dark espresso. I have several accent pieces that are black though and this matched with everything so well and really ties the room together! I think the wood looks great. It is very similar to that of the pieces I have purchased from IKEA, a hutch, and a buffet table. Assembly was a breeze! Sure it took about two hours, but it was not difficult at all. Just pay attention to the pictures. I really don't think you can do anything wrong anyhow, it is pretty self explanatory as you go. There was only one spot where the wood was nicked, which is actually on the inside and is pretty much hidden by the other pieces of the shelf and its content. I did take my dark espresso furniture marker to it, and you can't even tell. Well worth what I paid for, as I almost bought one from a local store for $999, that I actually didn't like as much. The $550 I saved was well worth putting it together myself, and the two day, ONLY TWO DAY, wait for shipping!
Great bar Cabinet!

We had seen a similar bar at Crate and Barrel for quadruple the price, so this was great. It's bigger than we anticipated when opened so we had to change the spot where we had envisioned it, but that wasn't a big deal. It comes in 3 boxes (1 box was tiny) and 2 are very heavy. Took a couple hours to assemble. Just be careful with a couple of the shelves because they fit right-side up and upside down and we unfortunately didn't realize our error until we had exposed screws and the whole thing was put together. Had to go back and fix it which was a huge pain. Only downsides are that the top isn't perfectly flat when closed due to the hinges used to fold the top out and that some bottles don't fit in the sides. They mainly go on the bottom shelf and where the glasses hang if you aren't hanging glasses there. And the delivery wasn't fantastic, but we had a partially icy driveway at the time. One box was at the top of our long driveway in a snow bank while the other large box and tiny box were by the garage. Luckily it hadn't been sitting in the snow long and the wood was double boxed so nothing got wet or was warped. At least the shipping was fast and the ice in the driveway allowed me to skate the box down to the house! Overall great purchase. Better quality than anticipated.

I had been looking for a cheaper expandable bar for my newly finished basement for some time now. But a majority of the ones I find are either too expensive or too low quality. I think I found the perfect medium with this one. Assembly was a tad time consuming, but the instructions were easy to follow and made the assembly process go smoothly. Once I finished I was extremely happy the way it turned out. It fits perfectly in the corner of my basement and I still receive compliments on how nice it is.
Amazing Bar for the Price

I purchased this product as a christmas present. It came in three separate packages and took about 4 hours to assemble with one girl and a power drill. There were a few scratches in the wood, however they were small and hardly noticeable unless you knew exactly where to look. The shelves are very sturdy and can hold a large amount. The bottom shelves hold the largest bottles of alcohol, and I havent found a bottle yet that doesnt fit on the bottom shelves. The top and middle shelves are reserved for smaller bottles however. Also, as someone else noted, the wine racks are slightly smaller than normal, so if you have glassware with larger bases, either they wont fit at all, or you will have to forcibly spread the racks out to make them fit. Other than that, I absolutely love this bar and would recommend it to anyone out there!

TOTALLY happy with this fantastic value. Formal christening is not for another month, but we've already received many compliments on this unique bar. Saves space when not in use, but opens up to double-size for entertaining. So well-designed! Wood finish is wonderful, storage is well-designed. Takes awhile to put together (I had pieces all over the floor to start!) but this is well-worth it!! My father-in-law used to work for Crosley in the 1950's; can't wait to toast him with a Manhattan soon!
A Great Find Online
Lydia from Cambridge, MA
The bar came today in very well packaged boxes. It is beneficial to have someone help with assembly. The instructions make it very easy as well, but due to the weight of some parts two people is your best bet when building it. Once we finished I was extremely pleased with the finished product. When closed the bar fits just about anywhere. And it looks great when opened. There is plenty of storage space for a variety of things. This is definitely your best choice in a bar for this price.

I ordered this online without actually seeing it in person, and it's even better than I expected. Very sturdy, looks classy and works great in the basement. Delivery was pretty fast and there were no missing pieces. Came in 3 boxes (2 of them kinda heavy) and required assembly - it took me about 3 hours but the directions were very clear and I had no problems putting it together. As some others have noted one of the magnets was pretty weak, but I just bought new ones for $0.99 each and now it works fine. There were a couple small dings in the wood but I used a Sharpie and now you can't even notice. Also one of the screws holding in one of the folding counters was a little loose, but I just bought slightly longer screws to replace the old ones. Only took a couple minutes. Overall very happy with this piece, highly recommended.

I don’t regularly do my furniture shopping online, but I have been unable to find the right bar shopping in store. So I took to the web finding this. The price worried me, thinking the quality would suffer. But once I opened the package and saw the care placed into the packing of the product I knew I had a quality piece of furniture. Assembly took some time, but it was time well spent. Once I finished the bar it fit perfectly in my den and looks fantastic. I would certainly buy this bar again.
