This is a piece of junk. First of all, all the boards were splitting where the holes were for screws, many of which were also stripped. Tons of wood glue needed. I can't believe they didn't ever mention it in the instructions or include it. My dad is extremely handy, which is the only reason this thing even ended up getting built, and it still took well over 4 1/2 hours. It didn't include all the screws so we had to go get more near the end. This picture is also very misleading, making it look like this can float in the middle of the kitchen--which would make it a two-sided piece, right? Wrong. It belongs up against a wall...which is very apparent as it's in the middle of my kitchen. The magnets were on the wrong ends of the doors on several of the doors. Overall this is a very very cheap piece of furniture, though it doesn't look terrible once built, but be aware it should only be against a wall, and I'm very hesitant to ever put anything too heavy on top. Do NOT ever sit on it. It will surely go down. I fear there are many repairs in my future. I wish I could return this. And get my 4 1/2 hours back + time going to the store to compensate for the missing pieces.
Beautiful piece of furniture but the top scratches easily
Jeanna from Perkasie, PA – Verified Buyer
I bought this for my long and narrow kitchen and it looks great. It seemlessly matches my white kitchen cupboards and stainless steel appliances. My friends didn't realize it was self assembly piece of furniture, they thought it was custom built with the kitchen. It's heavy and looks expensive. My only complaint is that the stainless steel top scratches really easily . Pretty much anything you put on top of it will leave a scratch. If I had a chance to buy it over again, I'd get the exact same island but with the wooden top.

Excellent quality with easy to follow assembly. Packaging for shipping was a also great ensured no damage. Very elegant looking and sets of the kitchen. Very impressed with the end product as it is a solid piece of furniture.

I was so excited to finally find an island with a stainless steel top that matched our kitchen. We like the look of it, however, I had to go and get new hardware to match the rest of our cabinets. No big deal! It looked great- until I started noticing scratches all over the stainless steel top. It seems to scratch if anything touches it- which is real annoying. Now, I am wondering if it is even real stainless steel. I plan on inquiring this week.

This island is a great addition to my kitchen. It was easy to assemble and has ample storage space for my cookware, silverware, and numerous other items.

The table cart is very nice beautiful cherry wood color......stainless steel top does scratch very easy though :( it does take a few hours to put together. But I must say it is a very cheap alternative to extra space, and I do get alot of compliments on it :)
