Crosley LaFayette Buffet Server / Sideboard Cabinet in Vintage Mahogany - KF42001BMA

I was kink of leary buying this buffet on line because of some of the reviews of parts being broken, but when my buffet arrived I could not have packed this better for shipping myself. Every piece was wrapped to keep from shifting around and every piece was perfect. After putting together (which was very simple, per instructions) every one who has seen it, comments how beautiful it looks.

We bought this for our bar area and it makes a nice addition. Very useful and attractive. Some parts came broken and required superglue and some bracing. Assembly was a bit challenging even though we are experienced.

The cabinet is a perfect fit for the area it is in. The color/finish is a great match to the to the rest of the furniture. The quality is extremely good - drawers slide open and close beautifully and the cabinet doors open and close very well.

Ordered this sideboard after researching for numerous months--best reviews and value for the money. Very reasonably priced for the quality and beauty of this piece! Took me about 2 hours to get this put together, with "muscles and support" from my boyfriend--but if you're coorinated and strong, you can do this yourself![...]Instructions aren't bad, and if you've put together furniture in the past--then you should be good to go! No scratched parts like other reviews--everything was in mint condition when it arrived. Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase!!!

Product is beautiful. But, there were 6 pieces that were badly damaged. [...]I purchased this as a gift, so the broken pieces were a disappointment.

Putting it together was a hassle - not a big deal in the long run. The most discouraging part was all the broken pieces. My husband had to glue a couple back together before I could assemble it. We finally got all the pieces to work but if you look closely at the finished buffet there are a lot of cracked pieces. The door hinges were also broken, not sure how we are going to fix those (they are these cheap little spring things). If it wasn't so big and such a pain to break down I would return it - LAST time I ever purchase furniture online!!!!

In general we are pleased with the server. The product spec sheet states that is solid wood with veneer. With the exception of the top & cabinet doors, it should not be classified as solid wood as the other materials are composite board. The assembly went pretty smoothly with the exception of one of the steps. Temporary straping is needed to keep several of the parts together until you are able to use some of the fastners to stabalize the structure.

This buffet server looks stunning in my dining room. The color is perfect, along with the storage space and size. It is exactly what I had imagined. My husband and I put it together and it was not difficult. I can't believe we were able to get such a wonderful piece of furniture for such a reasonable cost! I would recommend this to anyone looking for a buffet server!
