Almost perfect but not quite.

For a product that normally retails in the $400 range, this cart falls somewhat short of its own hype. But for a product I was able to get at just over $200 (20% coupon from Wayfair), it's just great. Assembly wasn't a snap, but it also wasn't terribly difficult. My son and daughter in law put it together for me in an hour. I couldn't have done it myself. One piece of a drawer back had broken off and they had to fudge it a bit. One drawer does not seat well in the cart and must be opened and closed with some delicacy. The other drawer is fine. It leaves me wondering if perhaps discounted carts are how Crosley (or Wayfair) deals with slightly imperfect items. For $400, both drawers should have been perfect. Just a note: The drawers should be deeper, and there's so much shelf height, that could be done with no loss of storage space. Add an extra 3/4" to those drawers, Crosley, fix the runners on both of them so they glide more easily, and this would be a sturdy, efficient, easily moveable kitchen cart with a great maple top!

This cart is very high quality and quite sturdy. It goes well in my kitchen and provides me with plenty of exra counter space to prepare and serve my meals. The shelves provide great space to store items I want to access quickly, yet keep off my counter. A friend was over when it as delivered and he whipped it together in 15 minutes. I dont think I could have built it quite that fast, but it was not at all dificult. I recommend this cart highly. I don't know what I did without it.
Good Design, Sub-par Build
Roman from Rochester, NY – Verified Buyer
I purchased this island because it matches my kitchen in style and size. Like: 1. Looks good if you're not too picky. 2. The natural wood top is nice. 3. The wheels make it easy to roll around. 4. The frame is quite sturdy. Cons: 1. The finish of the white parts looks a little thin. It's an even coat, but it almost seems like they were trying to not make it too thick. 2. The drawers are not that smooth when opening or closing and may rattle - the tracks are pretty basic. 3. I've encountered two issues during assembly. A small wood block that the screws for one of the drawer sides go into was not seated properly. I had to pry it off, drill two small holes, and pound it into the right place with a mallet. The other issue is more serious. One of the holes in the leg that the wheel screws into was not threaded. Therefore my cart is currently supported by a block in one of the corners. I'll have to buy a thread tap and bore out the threads in the hole that the wheel will screw into. 4. I've got some small dings and dents in a few places. Not really noticeable unless you're putting your face up to it. 5. Some parts of the pre-assembled pieces don't always line up too well, leaving uneven gaps the width of a millimeter here or there. Overall: "A" for design and "C" for manufacturing. Looks like they put their third string workers on this one. I like the look of the cart but the poor assembly quality of the pre-assembled pieces leaves more to be desired, especially considering the price. If you're feeling lucky, or are willing to fix potential issues then I'm sure this island will make a good addition to your kitchen. Notes: The picture for the white island is reversed. My towel bar is on the right side of the island. The color of the finish is slightly creamy and not a bright white. The finish is smooth but not glossy - you won't see reflections in it. Aside from the issues mentioned above, assembly wasn't too terrible. Comes in two boxes.
Does what I need

I spent a ton of time shopping for a kitchen island that wouldn't cost a ton. This piece is stylish and was very simple to put together. Subtracting a star because the drawers don't pull out all the way and the left one sticks quite a bit. I use it to store some Kitchenaid accessories that I don't access much, and the better-functioning drawer is the perfect size for my K-cups, eliminating clutter on my counter.

Great quality was easy to assemble.I I just love the look and function of the cart. I use the two shelfs for my extra plates and pots and baking pans. The black color goes well with my black appliances. The extra storage space is one of the reasons I purchased this cart. I recently down sized to a smaller home. everyone who sees this cart is impressed with it's good looks and sturdiness. great value none
Just what I wanted!

The Whiton Wood Top Kitchen Cart came in two well-protected boxes. It was fairly easy to assemble...I've assembled quite a few pieces of furniture, so I have some experience. It is beautiful and I love it! The only thing that I'm not happy with is how the drawers open and close... it isn't smooth at all.
Great looking island but assembly complicated

Great looking and good functionality. Pre - cut holes were not aligned properly making assembly more complicated and time consuming than necessary. But a great product for the money. Especially appreciate the narrower depth which was hard to find.
GREAT PRODUCT & FAST DELIVERY
Heather from Bourbonnais, IL – Verified Buyer
I was very impressed with the fast delivery. I ordered the product on Monday early afternoon and it was on my door step when I got home Tuesday evening! My husband assembled it in approx. 1 hour! It is a great addition to my kitchen and provides the necessary counter space and decorative storage options. I was very happy to see the butcher block countertop was already sealed so I did not have to seal or season the raw wood. Thank you WayFair!
Very nice island
Crystal from Boston, MA – Verified Buyer
Nice island. Assembly went very well with clear instructions. Predrilled holes helps align the pieces of particle board so the island is square and not wobbly or not level. Adjustable shelf is helpful. The bottom shelf is sturdy enough to store my kitchen aid mixer and a juicer without bowing or sagging in the middle.

The kitchen island is just as pictured and is very easy to put together. I have moderate experience with furniture asemby and had no problems at all. The only issue was that the top was sent in a separate box and did not arrive the same day. However, I imagine the reason for this was severe winter weather and UPS overload.
