good value with minor problems
Mary from Mansfield, OH
We just finished an expensive kitchen remodel and decided we had room for an island. We didn't want to spend too much more, so didn't want to go with a custom-made island. We purchased a black Cambridge with a black granite top. We ordered it on a Wednesday afternoon and it came by 9 the next morning! It took an entire afternoon to put together, but was not unmanageable. My husband only helped with a problem with "cam locks". I put the cam lock pins in too deep - we had to take the base apart again to allow the locks to work. (??) That issue could have been made more clear in instructions. Two small areas had to be retouched with black paint/ permanent markers would have probably worked. We bought 2 black counter stools (simple black saddle-style) to put on the plain side. We think it looks pretty good! We are happy with our purchase so far!
Pretty, well packed, but only 14.5 interior depth, not 18 as stated

Arrived quickly, very well packed, granite was in a wood crate. Beautiful cabinet, nice black granite, all as pictured in the website. Product details says: Cabinet Interior Depth - Front to Back: 18 inches. In actual the interior depth is only 14.5 and not 18. Please note the arrangement of the 4 door panels: the interior is split into 3 areas, and not two. The inner width of side compartments are only 10 with 7.5 opening. Thus: all my big appliances: e.g. bread machine, turkey fryer etc will not fit. I bought this island to store big stuff. Had I known that the interior depth is only 14.5 I won't buy this. Overall it is a pretty kitchen island. Too bulky to return, so I decided to keep it despite it won't serve the main planned purpose.
Very Nice, but only one-sided!

Very nice product. Came in perfect time. Hats off to Wayfield. Pros: Beautiful Island, easy to assemble, attractive and functional. Cons: Granite Top had what appeared to be smudges, but was part of the material. The Island only faces one side! I thought Kitchen Island would be attractive on BOTH sides. It appears to be constructed to be backed up against a wall instead of in the center of a kitchen. Also.... the paint of the island is very, very strong and lasted for weeks.

Great quality, sturdy and looks great! My husband and his best friend put it together in a few hours; if you get the granite top you'll probably want two guys just to lift the granite on top, but I'm sure it helped with other aspects as well.
Fairly nice unit overall, but a little disappointing...

We purchased the white island with the black granite top, and assembly turned into a challenge. At first we thought we had some missing parts, but it turned out they sent us the wrong instructions. Naturally, we were trying to assemble it on a weekend, when they were closed, so we were on our own. The instructions served only as a guide at best, but a few hours later, my husband managed to complete the assembly. The instructions say 2 adults are required, but he had no trouble going it alone. We were a little disappointed in the quality. One of the pieces split during assembly, but the glue seems to be holding. One of the cam locks also pushed through to the surface somehow. Glue won’t fix that. Finally, there is a white streak in the (black) granite. We're pretty sure it’s just a natural discoloration, but it looks like a scratch or a stain. Aside from all that, it does look nice. We gave it three stars, but if it serves us well into the future, We’d go up to four.

This island is sturdy and looks quite nice........... One thing I was happy about is that the back side was just as nice as the front although it did not have doors.

Looked great once put together and arrived with all the pieces but there were a lot of pieces and it did take a lot to put together. Put the finished product looks great and is excellent quality.

This piece is a perfect addition to my kitchen. The granite top looks fabulous and with the bottom feet, truly is a nice looking piece, My teenager and I put it together, although it took a few hours, it was fun building together. Pros: Great for the price.
Loving my cart.

I love every thing about it but there is just one thing that needs to be changed, the granite top would not lock, no matter how we tried to get it to lock it wouldn't.
