I PURCHASED THIS CRIB FOR MY GRAND DAUGHTERS BABY. MY FIRST GREAT GRAND DAUGHTER. THIS CRIB IS HUGE AND SO STURDY THAT WHEN YOU SHAKE IT,IT DOESN'T EVEN SHAKE OR MOVE AT ALL. THIS CRIB WOULD LAST THROUGH THE DUGGAR'S NINETEEN BABY'S AND STILL KEEP GOING. BESIDES THAT,IT IS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL CRIB I HAVE EVER SEEN. THE DRAWERS GLIDE SO SMOOTHLY ON METAL GLIDES WITH ROLLERS ON THEM. I LOOKED AT CRIBS FOR WEEKS BEFORE BUYING THIS ONE. I JUST KEPT COMING BACK TO IT EVERY TIME. I FELL IN LOVE WITH IT THE FIRST TIME I SAW THE PICTURE. I' M SO THRILLED THAT I BOUGHT IT. WE ALL LOVE IT. NOW I WANT TO BUY THE MATCHING CHEST BECAUSE I KNOW THE CRAFTSMAN SHIP OF IT IS AS GOOD AS THE DRAWERS IN THE CRIB/CHANGER BUT I'M TRYING TO FIT IT IN MY BUDGET RIGHT NOW AND IT IS DIFFICULT. We've been using this crib for the past 18 months and love it. When she was smaller, we did have challenges putting her in and out of it with ease when she was asleep since there's not a fold-down on the rail (they did sell a version that has that option but I am not sure if it's available anymore). I am 5'9" and my husband is 6'3" so if you're shorter than that it might be a bigger issue for you. We love all of the storage space and it's a very well-made piece despite being something you "put together yourself." My husband put it together in one afternoon without any issues. My daughter is on the tall side (+95% for her age) so she got too long for the changing table by about 8 months old. Now, we use the top to hold extra blankets and stuffed animals, etc. that she'll bring into her crib in the mornings when she first wakes up and plays quietly with them for another 15-30 minutes."..." We just assembled the the crib and changer. Haven't used it yet b/c baby is not due for a few more months. It looks lovely, classy, and expensive. It's quite bigger than I expected. The assembly instructions were awful. A complete joke. There were tons of misspellings and flat out wrong instructions. Fortunately my husband is quite handy and managed to figure it all out. Many of the predrilled holes were in the wrong spots too. I'm a little worried about the changing pad being too thin and short. I looked around for a bigger, thicker, changing pad, but all the ones I found were too long.[...] I also searched for a cover for the changing pad, but again, nothing came in that size. So I ended up using a couple of standard pillow cases and seemed to work well. Will need to find a water proof pad to go ontop of it though otherwise I'll be washing the pillow cases all the time. I love it. It is so nice to have the extra drawers under the crib. It is very sturdy and looks so nice. The only problem is that the bottom does not raise up for when you have a baby, but it isn't very difficult to put the baby in the crib without it."..." Read more
