I purchased this mattress because I wanted to minimize my baby's exposure to potentially harmful chemicals found in some mattresses and I couldn't afford a 100% organic/latex mattress (the cover of this mattress is organic and the filling is cotton and wool, but not organic as far as I know). I have only been using the mattress for a few weeks but so far am very pleased with my purchase.
The mattress is very firm (it does not compress at all when my baby sleeps on it -she weighs 14lbs) and because it is not a coil mattress, it is light and easy to maneuver for sheet changes. The waterproof cover is a definite plus.
The only thing I don't love about the mattress is that it gave off a strange musty odor for a few days but it seems to have stopped now.
All in all, I would definitely recommend this mattress to parents with similar concerns about toxic materials but without the budget to go all organic."..." Read more
