Got this for my 22 month old sons crib. I wanted a thinner mattress so he would be lower in the crib to prevent him from crawling out. I found only two reasonably priced 4" mattresses, this one and one by a company that specialized in industry mattresses and cribs for things like daycares and hospitals. Truthfully I was going to go with the other at first, figuring it might be more durable, but decided to give this a try since it was less expensive. The day we got it it was on our living room floor and I couldn't get my son off of it. He thought it was great and was giving it its first stress test by jumping all over it. Other then seeming very durable, it is firm enough to provide support and soft enough to be comfortable. Now it's in his crib and he is sleeping on it well. I did take some cardboard from the box it came in and put it on the wires in the crib that hold the mattress. Our crib is old and I was concerned the wires would push into the foam too much, but honestly it is unnecessary. My son now is lower in the crib and very comfortable and I don't worry about him climbing out. This was so worth the price! On a side note, I wanted to write a review for this because the only one I found was by someone complaining that it was an ugly mattress. Not very helpful. Yes it is just white and doesn't have pictures of bunnies or clouds like others do, but I don't care. I would recommend this to a friend, especially someone wanting to get more time out of their crib by lowering your child."..."  Read more

I like the mattress, however there are couple of little things that I was not expected. First, it is really firm. Second, one side is mostly flat, but the other side of mattress is a bit curvy resulting in a little slop towards the edges. I am not sure the slop is big enough to encourage baby to roll towards the edges, but the thought did occur in my mind. Third, the mattress cover fills little plastic like, as if it is water proof. Again, maybe it is good, I just did not expect it and I am thinking now of what to put between the mattress and sheet, I guess a nice thick cotton mattress protector should make it feel more cozy :) HTH"..."  Read more

This mattress was what I wanted and needed. I am glad I went with the extra firm. The extra firm in this mattress is not the same as the extra firm in adult matresses. This mattress is the closest you'll come to finding a mini crib mattress that is both affordable and safe for your child to use everyday. It fits both Delta's and DaVinci's mini cribs snugly and is safe enough to be used with newborns up. Even my 25+lb toddler did not make a dent in it when she climbed on! It meets all safety regulations for fire and fit in the mini cribs. No other mattress of this thickness that I could find online appeared to offer the same features.
