Crib Mattresses

Got this for my 22 month old sons crib. I wanted a thinner mattress so he would be lower in the crib to prevent him from crawling out. I found only two reasonably priced 4" mattresses, this one and one by a company that specialized in industry mattresses and cribs for things like daycares and hospitals. Truthfully I was going to go with the other at first, figuring it might be more durable, but decided to give this a try since it was less expensive. The day we got it it was on our living room floor and I couldn't get my son off of it. He thought it was great and was giving it its first stress test by jumping all over it. Other then seeming very durable, it is firm enough to provide support and soft enough to be comfortable. Now it's in his crib and he is sleeping on it well. I did take some cardboard from the box it came in and put it on the wires in the crib that hold the mattress. Our crib is old and I was concerned the wires would push into the foam too much, but honestly it is unnecessary. My son now is lower in the crib and very comfortable and I don't worry about him climbing out. This was so worth the price! On a side note, I wanted to write a review for this because the only one I found was by someone complaining that it was an ugly mattress. Not very helpful. Yes it is just white and doesn't have pictures of bunnies or clouds like others do, but I don't care. This mattress was what I wanted and needed. I am glad I went with the extra firm. The extra firm in this mattress is not the same as the extra firm in adult matresses. This mattress is perfect for the Ethan mini crib I purchased. It is firm which is necessary for a newborn and fit snugly into the crib with no gaps. I was able to get a nice organic fitted mattress pad and chenille fitted sheets from here too and they fit perfectly."..."  Read more

I started looking for a product like this before we took a trip with our 20 month old. I don't like the regular Pack N Play mattress, and my daughter does not rest well on it. But, I didn't want to invest in a portable crib, because she would have grown out of it pretty shortly and they are expensive. I found this and it fit my Graco Pack N Play perfectly.
