Basically this mattress is exactly what is described, and expertly crafted! Although it's expensive...for me it was one less thing I had to worry about as far as all the issues they aren't sure about for SIDS. It's dense, yet soft enough, yet supportive enough, with no toxic smells like everything else you buy new these days...Infact it smells very natural. (not funky in any way) It fits the crib perfectly and I was able to write off any worries with my crib setup as soon as we first put our little guy to sleep on it. Excellent product.
