I wanted a cradle for my grandson. I looked hard and long for something that met my envision...this cradle has it all! I had wanted the espresso color, but on the computer it looked more like a painted brown rather than the deep dark espresso furniture that is in my daughter and son in law's bedroom..after talking with the customer service rep, I chose the cherry wood and it is simply beautiful! I had read all the other reviews and noted that the mattress was a bit thin..I just went ahead an ordered the 2 in. padded mattress and this just made it perfect! Putting it together was simple enough that my daughter had it together in no time! It is sturdy and rocks only when you rock it otherwise it stops immediately.
