This cradle comes in 5 pieces total - each side and the bottom that the pad rests on. It took my husband about 5 minutes to put together, and it is beautiful! The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because the pad is very thin and flimsy. We just replaced it with another, and it works wonderfully.
