My 6-month old plays on this mat every day, it's great for learning to crawl and sit up. He loves the surface texture and colors, and I love that it wipes clean easily. The bright colors seemed slightly garish at first but now I'm fine with it. I was nervous that after shipping folded the mat wouldn't lie flat, but it settled in an hour or two into a perfect shape. I was unhappy to find that though it is advertised as 2" thick, it's more like 1.25". Still, that thickness works for us, since it's soft and cushy yet provides protection from our bamboo floors.
