The Koolatron Fun Cooler is by far the nicest thermoelectric cooler we have owned. Because the fan is mounted horizontally, the bearing is balanced and is more quiet. It also should last longer than vertical mounted fans. (The bearing on the fan has gotten noisy and failed on our other coolers.) The capacity of the Fun Cooler is a good compromise between the large size and smaller type coolers. Not so big you wouldn't take if for a day trip and not so small it wouldn't work for a longer vacation. The Fun Cooler went to Yellowstone and Tennessee with us last year. The large carrying handle made it more easily transportable, even for a woman. I could put it over my arm and still have hands free. We use these coolers for road trips. It was much easier to get in and out of the car and then into the hotel than any of our other coolers, which required 2 hands to carry. (The large ones were too heavy for me to carry.) The only thing I found annoying was that the lid came off too easily. While it is nice to have it removable for cleaning, it sometimes came off when opening it in the car. Possibly adding a shim of plastic would make the lid tab stay put. (Still would prefer the Fun Cooler though because of the horizontal fan Thermoelectric coolers are the way to go as long as you have a power source. It is great not having to mess with the ice!"..."  Read more

This cooler is a lot of fun, but there's plenty room for improvement. First, it really does go fast, around 13mph with a 160lb person on it. It certainly gets attention. However, the red color looks hot pink. Not exactly the best color when purchasing this for a man. Also, several screws were missing from the parts delivered with the cooler. The break mechanism is constantly loose, so keep the tools with you because you'll need to do tune-ups while on the go. I thought it was a bit misleading that the seat was pictured on the cooler, it is not included and costs around $40 extra."..."  Read more

I spent an inordinate amount of time searching for a lunch cooler that can easily hold any size frozen lunch/dinner. Here's what the description say: Overall Dimensions: 12.5" H x 13.5" W x 8" D (this appears to be the dimensions for the main comparment) Here are the true overall dimensions: 13.5" H x 16.75" W x 9.25" D. I wish they'd have given both dims. I was this close to not ordering this cooler based on the dims they gave. This thing is huge when you look at it for one person's lunch. Aside from this, it's a very nice cooler with plenty of pockets. It's the schoolbag of coolers with all it's nooks and crannies."..."  Read more

This is a wonderful cooler! I use it for the beach and the lake. It keeps drinks cold and had a perfect place at the top to store food and side and front pockets to store sunscreen, hats, and other objects you want take with you. Also has a clip to hook keys in the front pocket for easy access. Liner doesn't leak. Perfect for use by backpack or roller. Heavy duty and doesn't fall apart. Best cooler I've purchased for on-the-go! Love the flap that keeps your back from getting dirty when you use the cooler as a backpack. I am very happy with this cooler and highly recommend it!"..."  Read more
