Cookware Sets

I only gave this four stars rather than five simply because I haven't had it that long. So I can't comment as to durability. But so far I'm impressed. The all-clad bottoms distribute heat well, quickly and evenly. They heat up much faster than my old pots. There has been a little color change on the outside, so they aren't as shiny as they were when new. And the handles do get warm, especially near the pot, so use caution. The glass lids are a nice feature, but are not oven safe. I was dismayed to read that in the manual, since that isn't specified on the site. I called the company and was told it is the gaskets between the lid and the handle that might melt or burn in the oven. I told them I thought that if they were going to offer a "dutch oven" as part of the set, it should have an oven-proof lid. Meanwhile, I'm using it with a different lid from an old set when I use it in the oven. I really liked that this set included stainless steel pots, and non-stick pans. I didn't want stainless pans and didn't want non-stick pots. So far the non-stick surfaces are holding up well after a month of use. I just got these for Christmas."..."  Read more
