I have been using these pans for about 3 weeks now. The first use was with breakfast, eggs - was alittle disappointed with that first use but after this use and the pan had some cooking oil in it, the surface seemed to be "primed" or something so that the next use and those afterwards - EXCELLENT! I like the shape of the sauce pans - just contemporary feeling. I ordered and just received today the 12 inch fry pan - this set does not include a large frying pan or a top for it. But, I have used the 10 inch fry pans for things and they are sufficient most times as I do not have a huge family. Am happy to have the bigger frying pan tho but wish that it had a top included with it. Prior to getting these pans I was using cookware that my husband purchased after seeing them on TV. It had a "lifetime" guarantee - but this company has gone out of business! Whose lifetime???? Theirs obviously!!! The inside finish on the pans was a mess! Peeled so badly!!!!!!!! Tossed those pans out immediately after these new pans came! I am hoping that this cookware will have a better longevity in my kitchen. But, I do know that cookware these days, of any sort, does get old and will show wear and will need replacement sometime. Do not buy any pans and think they will last forever! I plan to use utensils that are designed not to scratch cookware surfaces. I am not a cook that uses high cooking flames etc. so I think that I will enjoy using these pans for a long time. (I do not like "grease" spattering up into the air and all over my stove and myself, so no high flames here. Hot, high flames must have negative effects on things, well I figure they must.) I have looked at higher priced competitive cookware and I just cannot spend that much money on cookware of any sort! Again, I do find that pans are not designed anymore to last forever. Are those higher priced ones longer lasting? Perhaps some of you know........................... Cleaning these pans is easy and complete in very little time. I like this as do not like BIG, stuck on messes to clean when the energy I have to make dinner after work is about all the energy I have left after a very stressful nursing job (but I enjoy it!). I dislike cookware that is heavy to hold when food is in it. These pans have good quality but do not weigh too much to handle with ease. Also, not too light- light weight would indicate poor quality to me. So, buy the pans if you think they will meet your needs. I'd like a 3 quart sauce pan - but will look for one in another brand as one is not available at all in this cookware line. But, still, this is just a matter of something I like sometimes, like for boiling a larger batch of pasta. Again, a product and service rating magazine does rate these pans well. I had read about them one night online before getting an article on pots and pans. Good luck with your decision! I'm hoping that mine, to purchase these pans, was a good one! I also like having "my guests" see nice looking pans on my stove!"..." Read more
