I wanted a table large enough and sturdy enough to hold a heavy stack of atlases on the bottom shelf and to open the atlases out flat on top. It is perfect for this use. It would also make a great little hallway or foyer table for keys, mail etc., or a bedside table. All wood, no particle board products, does not wobble. One screw missing, and there was tel. # to call for replacement, but it was common size wood screw and I found one in the family "junk drawer" same size and used it instead. Very good value for the cost. I don't love the wooden knob on drawer front--it would look much prettier with a depression era glass drawer knob and would be effortless to switch, but I don't care that much at the moment."..."
