I needed a multipurpose table that could serve dual purposes: Against the wall as a writing desk or sofa table and then easily converted to a dining table that seats six comfortably when extra company arrives. I use two upholstered print parson's chairs (at each end) and four brown wood ladderback chairs (two on each side) when using this as a dining table. The look is gorgeous. The table folds and goes against the wall with a lamp and the chairs are arranged around the perimeter of the room when not in use for eating. Now I have the perfect sitting area!
