The piece was as pictured with distress marks which I like and think gives a piece of furniture character. It is longer than most sofa tables which suited our needs. We have placed it behind a sofa that is against a wall to put lamps on as there is not enough room for end tables in the room. I purchased this table for my entry foyer. It is a beautiful piece of furniture that looks much more expensive than its cost. The table has clean lines and an exquisite finish. I chose the dark stain which is very rich in color. The piece is highend quality solid wood which is structurally very sound. Have received many complments.
