had this desk for 4 years now and I love it. It is reversible you can swap things out on either side. I have moved 6 times since i purchased this desk and its still in mint condition. breaks down and back together super easy compared to those desk made out of engineered wood that are never the same after you move. The expanded metal in the back is great. You can use velcro to tie up your wires behind the desk and have a neater appearance. I play games on this on this desk exclusively, I originally had a 21 CRT sitting on the glass , now I have a 23 lcd but ive had no issues. The keyboard shelf is plenty big for the keyboard and a mouse. You dont need a mouse pad, however after 4 years of use I had worn the plastic smooth and I now use a standard mouse pad and the corner hang off.
