Stained Wooden Toilet Seat

The wood was a little darker than I wanted, but overall the workmanship is very nice.
Solid wooden toilet seat.

Very substantial construction. Packing was a pain as it was stuck to the hinges and back part of seat. Required quite a bit of work to remove it foam residue.

Wood is nicely finished but attachment hardware is ill-fitting. Seat does not open more than 90 degrees and wobbles on porcelain

I had previously ordered a "Comfort" seat and it was excellent. This seat is not ever compairable to the first. It says it is light oak---it is dark, it says it has a high gloss finish---it does not. This seat doesn't have any shine, Wayfair was excellent to replace the first. The "finish" makes it much easier to clean and will not absorb moisture. This is a manufacturer problem NOT Wayfair!!! Must say it is a very attractive seat but not what I expected.
not as nice as previous purchase

I had previously purchased a light oak with brass hinges and the finish was a very high gloss. Perfect for easily keeping clean in a busy bathroom. So when I redecorated, I went right back to Comfort Seats and Wayfairs. The finish on the dark oak is a matte finish that kind of feels/looks like no finish at all, just stained wood. It happened to be recycling day and my husband had already broken down the box or I would have returned it. It's OK, but not near the previous quality.

The toilet seat came quickly and was easy to install and looks great in our almost all white otherwise spare bathroom. The only reason I'm knocking off a few stars is because I think the stain looks a little cheap.

horrible hinge broke on 1 the first time it was used. The second one we purchased broke a couple of days later in the same spot. Cheap hinges. The sear itself was nice however being the hinge broke on both we purchased was not usable.
Love the color of the wood.

the seat does not fit perfectly, but that might the the toilet shape causing that problem. The fit is close. I do like the color of the wood.
THE PLASTIC NUT
HANK from GAYLORD, MI.– Verified Buyer
THE PLASTIC NUTS HOLDING THE TOTAL ASSEMBLE TO THE TOILET IS TOO SMALL AND IS DIFFICULT TO SECURE THE UNIT TO THE CHINA BOWEL. SUGGEST THIS FASTENING SEGMENT BE REPLACED WITH PHILLIP TYPE SCREWS(HEAD 0N TOP) AND UNIVERSAL BUT MORE SUBSTANCIAL NUTS. ITS MUCH EASIER TO FASTEN FROM THE TOP THAN GETTING UNDER THE TOILET TO SCREW THE NUTS UP FROM THE BOTTOM
