Our only concern with it is that because of the squared edges, we, literally, had to smash the mattress in once we had a fitted sheet on it. There is no way our baby will get arms, legs or anything caught in between the mattress and the crib. There is also NO way that a waterproof mattress pad will also fit on it - make sure you invest in the waterproof sheet savers that sit on top of the mattress to protect the mattress in the event of unavoidable accidents! I will conquer with their findings that it is of superior quality and workmanship. It's much better than the one I first bought and returned from [...] for around $70.00. This mattress is firm on one side for new borns and is softer on the other side for when the baby get's bigger. The difference is small but that's how it's supposed to be. Children do not need plush mattresses like adults...
