Coleman Spa Review
Todd from Green Spring, WV– Verified Buyer
I will start my review wit the positives of this tub. First thing is after some research found that this spa is manufactured by CalSpa for Coleman and their company has a very good reputation in the industry. Calspa offer the same tub in there own line of spas but not at as good of price. My first impression of the tub is that it looks Great and and is of quality construction. I don't think yo can go wrong with the Roto Mold Cabinet and Panels. The tub is equipped withe Balboa controls (Again With the Coleman Name on them and Calspa 2 speed pump. The stainless jets seem to be of high quality and look great. The spa has just enough colored LED lighting to be ecstatically pleasing . Setup of the tub is very quick and easy.. within few hours the tub can be up and running. The controls are basic and simple to use. The tub comes with a easy to access filter and the lid for it is designed with 3 cup holders. The upper edge of the tub is wide and flat make it easy to set drinks on or use as a bench to set with your legs and feet in the tub. So you can see there is lots of posives about this tub. Now for the Slight negatives of this spa. The first thing is the cover... it has great construction quality but is not very thick which will work well in warmer areas but for places that have many winter nights below freezing the purchase of thicker cover with higher R value would likely be money well spent. Its is full foam insulated which is great for heat retention but could cause service problems if ya ever have a leak. You can read many articles of the pros and cons of this type of insulation in a spa. The tub is advertised a 6 person but I more suited for 4 adults. This spa comes to setup up for 110 -120v service and designed be economical to use which seems like a good thing but when it come to performance it certainly restricts the tub! If you leave it in this configuration its heater is 1 KW which will take over a day to get the tub temperature up to a comfortable temperature. This setup also means the 2 speed 1.5hp (advertised as 2 HP) pump is a 1110 V pump and limits the jet performance in the tub. For use this spa was replacing our old spa which was a 2 pump 220-240v tub... this tub is able to converted to accept a 220-240v hook up which we did. This makes the heater now work at 5 KW which will give ya 10 - 12 degrees and hour of heating so you can enjoy your tub the first day. Hooking it up this way has no effect on the pump performance because it is still on a operating as a 1.5 HP 110-120v. The solution for this is to purchase the CalSpa 5 HP 220-240v pump and install in the tub. I have ordered my pump and expect to have it installed soon and expect much better jet performance. If you buy the equivalent tub from CalSpa you can purchase the high performance option. So in conclusion this a great looking well built tub for the price and would recommend it with the advice to go 220-240v and upgrade your pump ($350). Be fore I conclude my review I would lie to say that purchasing form Wayfair was a positive experience and will deal with them again in the future. We had a few issues with the freight company getting it delivered to my home out in the country which is not unusual for us! If you decide to order make sure you have 4 or 5 able bodied folks to help move it around and get in place. I hope this review helps you in your decision of weather or not to purchase this spa. Coleman makes a great inexpensive spa that is great for everyone. The delivery man was exceptional and even helped me unpack and set the spa In place.

I received my spa yesterday and am pleased with my purchase overall. Wayfair worked really hard to get it placed and delivered in my yard on my deck! Outstanding customer service! The spa is different from what is shown online, it is darker (I like the darker color) and the photo shows a spa with more than 30 jets (never noticed until I received mine and there were no foot jets and fewer back jets).I was a little disappointed by this until I realized that the spa in the photo must be an incorrect picture. Also, the area where the filter is located is more open than on the photo. I am hoping there is a cover that can be sent to better camouflage the filter area. Lastly, I had to make a cut to provide an opening for the power cord, would be nice if the unit came with an area already notched out.

If you are looking for an easy to set up hot tub, this is it. We did pay the $50 fee to have it taken off the truck with a skid loader, do wish the would have put where we wanted it. It did take about 48 hours before temp reached 100 degrees. Simple upkeep, we use bromine tablets and shock once a week and water has been crystal clear for a month. Wishe some jets were positioned a little differently. But for the price paid it was worth every penny.
Perfect hot tub

The spa is great! The problem is the color. In the picture it's tan. What was delivered was a real dark brown. I would suggest taking a peak at it in the driveway, before hauling it all the way in the back.
Pleased with the quality and ease of use

Very easy to operate. Had a glitch with the set up: the tub was pre-set for a 110 connection but we had 220. The tub didn't function properly as a result, but once the problem was corrected, all was fine.
Easy and Relaxing

We have been planning on getting a hot tubspa for many years. I researched both 110V and 220v spas. We decided to go with this model, knowing we could upgrade our electrical if the plug and play heat and jets were not satisfactory. Well, they are are just fine. The hot tub was filled and within 16 hours it was heated to maximum temp. (104) The jets are just as powerful as the higher voltage models. I used it for 30 minutes it only cooled 1 degree. It has clean lines, beautiful led lighting, and the lounger is comfortable. Wish I could have bought it sooner.
