I waited six weeks for this coffee table to come in; it was backordered longer than that. I kept looking at other coffee tables but I knew this was the one. I have a very long sofa and wanted a coffee table with that length as well, but I also wanted the sofa to be thinner in width because most of my furniture is Scandinavian and doesn't have much heft. This is the perfect combination. The wood is gorgeous and fits in nicely with other pieces of light wood in my living room. The contrasting woods are a nice touch, and on a practical note there is a shelf as well. Last, the shape of the table is unusual. I bought this coffee table after looking at dozens and dozens in stores and also online. Both my husband and I decided we liked this coffee table the best. Size wise it is perfect for my living room not too big like some tabes are. It is not a chest but it has a very deep drawer which is good to keep the remote controls and magazines etc.. I would have given it five stars except the covering on the table and drawer the detailed map, is a paper laminate. I have a tiny chip off the drawer as you pull out the drawer which I can cover with a little brown acrylic paint. For the cost of the coffee table I would have thought it would have been made with a material that wouldn't easily chip off. So we will have to be careful with it. Our 1920s home is too small for a lot of modern-sized furniture. The proportions of the room sizes just don't fit most coffee tables available today. We've looked for years for a butler's coffee table similar to one we purchased in the early 1980s. This little table is perfect replacement as the coffee table in our living room and is even a little smaller than our older one, allowing for better flow around the chairs & couch. I took a chance on this table since I could not find any reviews of it on any websites, but Wayfair had the best price on it by far. You have to see this coffee table in person to believe the price - it looks so much better than a lot of the distressed wood tables that are so popular in all the stores. The wood looks solid and heavy, and the metal components are also heavy and give it a more modern feel. I also found a 10 off coupons a few days AFTER I placed the order and the customer rep who I spoke to on the phone applied a credit to my credit card for the amount - what great customer service! Im so impressed, I would definitely buy Riverside furniture again! The delivery was fast, and FREE! and the assembly took all of 15 minutes for me and my husband (and we are not handy at all).
