Coffee Tables

I waited six weeks for this coffee table to come in; it was backordered longer than that. I kept looking at other coffee tables but I knew this was the one. I have a very long sofa and wanted a coffee table with that length as well, but I also wanted the sofa to be thinner in width because most of my furniture is Scandinavian and doesn't have much heft. This is the perfect combination. The wood is gorgeous and fits in nicely with other pieces of light wood in my living room. The contrasting woods are a nice touch, and on a practical note there is a shelf as well. Last, the shape of the table is unusual. I love, love, love my new coffee table! It is very well constructed - and took less than 5 minutes to put together (take THAT Ikea!). The "wood" part is bamboo I believe, but with the quality finish and superb joinery it's hard to distinguish from mahogany or some other rainforest-decimating wood. The stainless steel legs are beautifully made. The only suggested improvement I could make is if the bottom of the legs came with some kind of floor-protecting pads - but honestly, that's no big deal - I just grabbed some at the grocery store and slapped 'em on! One other caveat: the table was a bit wider (across the short distance) than it appears to be in the picture - if you really need a narrow coffee table, say for a tiny apartment, this might not be the one for you - otherwise, GET IT !"..."  Read more
