I really love this coffee table. The wood is solid and real and does have a clear veneer to protect it. Assembly was incredibly simple and the parts actually FIT together perfectly like they were supposed to. Instead of just one screw for each corner, each leg has 2 screws for extra stability, which means each corner on the floor, for example, has 4 screws supporting it. This makes the table very sturdy and of a higher quality (less likely to wobble over time). I have a small living room so I like the small scale. That is the one thing I would caution - make sure you measure the dimensions in the space you want to put it - this table is actually 1" shorter than advertized and the picture in front of the couch makes it look larger than it actually is (that must be a very small couch, or that table is longer than the one for sale- hard to tell). I love how it looks and I will purchase from Wayfair again. The quality is exceptional for the price, as far as I can tell."..." Read more

I ordered this after I accidentally smashed the large glass coffee table I had owned for 20 years - I decided there and then I would buy wood, not glass. This table looks really good, was easy to assemble (and Im not good at that kind of thing), and having the lower shelf is super practical for storing books and magazines. The ONLY criticism I have is that this table is very narrow - I dont know why they couldnt have made it 3 or 4 inches deeper. I purchased this coffee table because of the description and pictures of it on the website. well, it was everything I thought it would be. Easy to assemble. It took about 30 minutes. It's pretty long, about 48 inches or 4 feet. So make sure you measure your area you want to put it. It actually wound up being to long for the room I wanted to put it in. That was ok, though.....I moved it into my living room which needed a coffee table and was able to purchase something else. It is good quality and came in perfect condition.
