I bought this coffee table after looking at dozens and dozens in stores and also online. Both my husband and I decided we liked this coffee table the best. Size wise it is perfect for my living room not too big like some tabes are. It is not a chest but it has a very deep drawer which is good to keep the remote controls and magazines etc.. I would have given it five stars except the covering on the table and drawer the detailed map, is a paper laminate. I have a tiny chip off the drawer as you pull out the drawer which I can cover with a little brown acrylic paint. For the cost of the coffee table I would have thought it would have been made with a material that wouldn't easily chip off. So we will have to be careful with it. It is definately a beautiful piece of furniture and I have had a lot of good comments from friends how beautiful the coffee table is."..."  Read more

Our 1920s home is too small for a lot of modern-sized furniture. The proportions of the room sizes just don't fit most coffee tables available today. We've looked for years for a butler's coffee table similar to one we purchased in the early 1980s. This little table is perfect replacement as the coffee table in our living room and is even a little smaller than our older one, allowing for better flow around the chairs & couch. This table is a beautiful piece, the only thing I was disappointed in is the map surface, it doesn't have a finish, I thought it did and it should to protect the surface.
