I am using this as my coffee table in a relatively small living room. I was looking for something that was smaller in width yet higher than 18". It arrived very well packaged and was super easy to put together -- just connecting each leg. Ordering was super easy and customer service was superb. My home design is primarily chinoiserie/traditional (i.e., white slipcovered sofa, oriental antique rugs, silk taffeta curtains, etc) and this table perfectly completes the look. What I don't like: 1. looks like it is made with elmwood and therefore, does give this table a more "heavy" look since the wood is quite thick. 2. the gold scrolling on top and sides of table is very, very faint as opposed to the photo on the website. Unless you are sitting right next to the table, it appears as a big, black table from any other distance."..."  Read more

I really love this coffee table. The wood is solid and real and does have a clear veneer to protect it. Assembly was incredibly simple and the parts actually FIT together perfectly like they were supposed to. Instead of just one screw for each corner, each leg has 2 screws for extra stability, which means each corner on the floor, for example, has 4 screws supporting it. This makes the table very sturdy and of a higher quality (less likely to wobble over time). I have a small living room so I like the small scale. That is the one thing I would caution - make sure you measure the dimensions in the space you want to put it - this table is actually 1" shorter than advertized and the picture in front of the couch makes it look larger than it actually is (that must be a very small couch, or that table is longer than the one for sale- hard to tell). I love how it looks and I will purchase from Wayfair again. The quality is exceptional for the price, as far as I can tell."..."  Read more

The coffee table is very usefull and has a full-length drawer on one side and a hiding compartment for remote controls on the other side.
