This is a nice looking coffee table that comes preassembled for the most part, which is very convenient considering that it has a lift-top mechanism that I didn't have to put together. The table is made of particle board, not solid wood, and is therefore heavy but it has a nice solid feel to it as well. The finish seems to be of above average quality, but one caution for those looking to buy it based on the color: the finish is significantly redder than it appears in the photograph. I didn't mind that because it actually looks better in my living room but those who are looking for the finish as it appears in the photograph will be disappointed. Finally, the pattern is much more subtle than it appears in the photo but this is a plus in my opinion, not a criticism."..."  Read more

The tables are beautiful....they are very sturdy and have a substantial weight to them....the color is beautiful also. They look expensive not the price I paid for them which was a surprise to me.
